It explores, with courage and sensitivity, some very important areas in the enormous space between Bloomfieldian 'idiolect' and Chomskyan 'UG' in order to situate the human linguistic enterprise, and offers valuable insights into human linguisticality and sociality. These explorations expose the limits of correlationism, determinism, and positivistic reificationism, and offer new ways of doing sociolinguistics. Intended for both practicing and future sociolinguists, it is an ideal text-book for the times, particularly for graduate and advanced undergraduate students.<br /> 04 09 01 https://benjamins.com/covers/475/cilt.125.png 04 03 01 https://benjamins.com/covers/475_jpg/9789027236289.jpg 04 03 01 https://benjamins.com/covers/475_tif/9789027236289.tif 06 09 01 https://benjamins.com/covers/1200_front/cilt.125.hb.png 07 09 01 https://benjamins.com/covers/125/cilt.125.png 25 09 01 https://benjamins.com/covers/1200_back/cilt.125.hb.png 27 09 01 https://benjamins.com/covers/3d_web/cilt.125.hb.png 10 01 JB code cilt.125.01lis xi 1 Miscellaneous 1 <TitleType>01</TitleType> <TitleText textformat="02">List of contributors</TitleText> 10 01 JB code cilt.125.02ack xii 1 Miscellaneous 2 <TitleType>01</TitleType> <TitleText textformat="02">Acknowledgements</TitleText> 10 01 JB code cilt.125.03sin 1 1 Article 3 <TitleType>01</TitleType> <TitleText textformat="02">Introduction</TitleText> 1 A01 Rajendra Singh Singh, Rajendra Rajendra Singh 10 01 JB code cilt.125.04lav 17 1 Article 4 <TitleType>01</TitleType> <TitleText textformat="02">1.
