However, the collaboration of these three domains has not brought about new scientific results. It it thus, our attempt to realize an integration of theoretical and applied linguistics on the basis of computer sciences, and establish a new synthetic field called "Linguistic Informatics." The present volume constitutes the Proceedings of the First International Conference on Linguistic Informatics held at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) in December 2003. The volume is comprised of five chapters. 1. Computer-Assisted Linguistics: Potential for collaboration between linguistics and informatics. 2. Corpus Linguistics : Status report on corpus-based linguistic research. 3. Applied Linguistics : Relationship between second language acquisition and linguistic theory. 4. Discourse Analysis and Language Teaching : Current status of natural dialogue-based discourse analysis. 5. TUFS Language Modules : Development of multilingual e-learning materials covering 17 different languages. 01 00 03 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/475/ubli.1.png 01 01 D502 https://benjamins.com/covers/475_jpg/9789027233134.jpg 01 01 D504 https://benjamins.com/covers/475_tif/9789027233134.tif 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/1200_front/ubli.1.hb.png 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/125/ubli.1.png 02 00 03 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/1200_back/ubli.1.hb.png 03 00 03 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/3d_web/ubli.1.hb.png 01 01 JB code ubli.1.01ike 06 10.1075/ubli.1.01ike 1 2 2 Miscellaneous 1 01 04 Opening Address Opening Address 1 A01 01 JB code 725052906 Setsuho Ikehata Ikehata, Setsuho Setsuho Ikehata 01 01 JB code ubli.1.02kaw 06 10.1075/ubli.1.02kaw 3 8 6 Miscellaneous 2 01 04 Center of Usage-Based Linguistic Informatics (UBLI) Center of Usage-Based Linguistic Informatics (UBLI) 1 A01 01 JB code 991052907 Yuji Kawaguchi Kawaguchi, Yuji Yuji Kawaguchi 01 01 JB code ubli.1.03com 06 10.1075/ubli.1.03com Section header 3 01 04 1. 01 00 03 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/475/ubli.1.png 01 01 D502 https://benjamins.com/covers/475_jpg/9789027233134.jpg 01 01 D504 https://benjamins.com/covers/475_tif/9789027233134.tif 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/1200_front/ubli.1.hb.png 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/125/ubli.1.png 02 00 03 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/1200_back/ubli.1.hb.png 03 00 03 01 01 D503 https://benjamins.com/covers/3d_web/ubli.1.hb.png 01 01 JB code ubli.1.01ike 06 10.1075/ubli.1.01ike 1 2 2 Miscellaneous 1 01 04 Opening Address Opening Address 1 A01 01 JB code 725052906 Setsuho Ikehata Ikehata, Setsuho Setsuho Ikehata 07 https://benjamins.com/catalog/persons/725052906 01 eng 01 01 JB code ubli.1.02kaw 06 10.1075/ubli.1.02kaw 3 8 6 Miscellaneous 2 01 04 Center of Usage-Based Linguistic Informatics (UBLI) Center of Usage-Based Linguistic Informatics (UBLI) 1 A01 01 JB code 991052907 Yuji Kawaguchi Kawaguchi, Yuji Yuji Kawaguchi 07 https://benjamins.com/catalog/persons/991052907 01 eng 01 01 JB code ubli.1.03com 06 10.1075/ubli.1.03com Section header 3 01 04 1.
