Annotation
A proposal for a theory of 'story points', attempting to characterize texts that describe situations that constitute stories. Points are not based on text structure, but on text content. They describe those situations that generate reader-interest and therefore give a text some poignancy. The theoretical implications and practical applications are discussed.
