Annotation

The term psychopragmatics refers to pragmatic aspects of language use in non-communicative settings, such as in thinking aloud. The authors explore some aspects of this 'psychopragmatic' field on the basis of observations on problem-solving protocols, through describing some basic features of language use (lexical choice, modal and illocutionary markers, topic/comment structure, and connectives) in those protocols, and trying to define their psychological correlates.
