Annotation
C. analyzes an instance of English spoken discourse from a cognitive point of view. The discourse is divided into intonation units, which are then alalyzed from a functional perspective, in terms of 3 possible states of activation of concepts/ideas (active, semi-active, inactive), the changes in these states in speaker and hearer that occur within and between intonation units, and how this can be related to the given/new distinction.
