A discussion of parallels between moving or acting (in everyday behavior) and proving (in argumentation). It is argued that both involve procedures of 'working backwards', i.e. starting from the goal or conclusion and the initial position of the agent, one works out the intermediate steps, necessary to achieve that goal.
