An analysis in the field of morphopragmatics, centering around feminist morphological innovations (e.g. 'Chairperson' for 'chairman'). The author shows how these innovations can be evaluated as to their relative degree of actual or potential acceptability in light of theoretical morphology, i.e. as far as morphological parameters are concerned.
