Annotation

The basic assumption of this paper is that the internalized rule structure responsible for the actual manifestation of language can only be understood as we improve our comprehension of dialogue. The research question is: is there any criterion or set of criteria which might guide us in the selection of relevant data for a grammar? It is argued that the notion of 'systematicity' is such a criterion.
