Annotation

B.-H. argues that indexical expressions (e.g. sentence-types like 'It is raining' or 'I'm hungry', which can be used to make different statements because of propositional differences depending on the context, as opposed to sentence-types like 'Ice floats on water' which always express the same proposition) show that sentences do not only consist of syntactic and semantic relations, but of pragmatic relations as well.
