Annotation

The author compiled a corpus of data on deaf Indian students belonging to consanguineous married couples and submitted the data to the NICD of Bethesda (USA), thus cooperating in a study on Genetic Hearing Loss. Since half of the deaf Indian children appear to owe their handicap to hereditary causes, a plea is made to prevent consanguineous marriages.
