Annotation

This study deals with language shift in Gapun, an isolated jungle community in Papua New Guinea, where the vernacular Taiap language is no longer acquired by children. Attention is paid to the process of language transmission and language socialization, the latter synthesizing the study of child language acquisition and socialization.
