Annotation

This article on Pêcheux's work and instruments in relation to social sciences, language, discourse and ideology shows that Pêcheux locates discourse in a region intermediate between language and ideology, as the object of linguistics. Abandoning the idea of developing a general theory of ideology, he investigates the connection between the object of linguistics and the object of the theory and analysis of discourse.
