Pêcheux's considerable role given to formalization in ADA69 is inscribed within a double perspective: an epistemological perspective intended to define a heuristics for discourse analysis and an operational perspective which offers a theoretical and methodological alternative to content analysis. Furthermore the ADA69 apparatus has to be computerized.
