This paper is concerned with readers' representation of spatial information in naturalistic story comprehension. Two main questions are whether rereading a spatial description affects the quality of the spatial representation and whether readers use their initially constructed spatial situation model in processing upcoming parts of a text when they are explicitly instructed to do so.
