Annotation

This paper presents some general observations on the contrastive study of discourse organization, with particular attention to relations between discoursal efficacy and macropatterns (rhetoric). Three mentioned areas of communication prompting attention to crosscultural rhetoric are business, the teaching of composition and translation.
