To the author's opinion discourse features cannot be discovered, described and explained without a discovery procedure which takes as its premise equivalency in the treatment or analysis of both spoken and written language forms. As the computer medium permits texts which seem both written- and spoken-like, the focus of this study is computer-mediated communication as e-mail message.
