On how transformational generative grammars can be said to be realized in models of human sentence processing. The paper contains a discussion of the psycholinguistic 'derivational theory of complexity', of claims concerning the grammar-parser relation as implied in J.Bresnan's Extended Lexical Grammar, of W.Marslen-Wilson's and Tyler's view on language processing and its relation to linguistic grammars, etc.
