Annotation
B. argues that distinguishing two levels of logical presupposition, viz. existential presupposition (i.e. the presupposition of the existence of a person or object, as in 'John called') and sentential presupposition (i.e. the presupposition of the occurrence of an action or event, as in 'Fred's driving annoys Mary'), yields insights into linguistic phenomena like pronominalization, determiners and quantifiers.
