A discussion of pragmatically coded topics/topic shifts in Castilian Spanish spontaneous discourse. Furthermore, data from radio and TV interviews/university transcripts of face-to-face interviews suggests that a topic-prominent pragmatic speech mode exists in Castilian Spanish.
