B. argues that the semantic categories of existential presupposition, assertion and hypothesis, do not only underlie articles, but any item determining the reference of a noun phrase, including numerical and non-numerical quantifiers. Therefore it is suggested that quantifiers are not atomic predicates but can be decomposed into various constituents.
