Annotation

This study analyzes the relationship between language and emotion (affect) in the process of socialization during mother-child interactions. It is shown that the use of an affective lexicon and verbal morphology facilitates the socialization of affect through language in three ways: lexical modeling, direct instruction and participation in negotiations of affect words.
