Annotation

On the effect of interaction patterns on L2 acquisition and socialization in a Japanese immersion classroom. Three types of classroom interactions are analyzed, revealing incremental autonomy of routine initiation, response and incorporation in a novel context. Moreover, the research findings suggest that the L2 discourse sequences stimulate L2 competency exceeding the level of creative L2 production.
