Annotation

The results of this study suggest that both active and peripheral participation in classroom routines is a major socializing force of L2 interactional competence. The data also support the hypothesis that learner participation in expressing and understanding Japanese affect increases learner sensitivity to the use of the affective discourse marker NE, as evidenced by a longitudinal study.
