Annotation

A comparison of the development of frame and field semantics, including the resulting semantic theories. It is observed that contemporary frame and field semantics primarily examine the conceptual and pragmatic grounding or framing of lexical fields in our sociocultural practices, thereby obscuring insights into semantic fields developed in the past.
