Annotation

The results of an oral comprehension test for anaphora interpretations in Spanish utterances demonstrated the viability of some of Levinson's neo-Gricean sub-maxims. The research findings lead the authors to conclude that consistency constraints on implicatures are far more relevant to anaphora interpretation than what Levinson's model predicts.
