Annotation
This article deals with the production of argumentative talk, with a focus on a turn consisting of the marker 'Oh' followed by an ironical proposition. It is found that the argumentative function of the 'oh + proposition' formula derives from the sequential placement and interactional effect (transforming the prior utterance) of the formula.
