A conversation analysis of complaint sequences resulting in unilateral walkouts. It is observed that such complaints tend to address personal deficiencies and faulty behavior on behalf of the addressee, who becomes increasingly sensitive to these utterances. Comparisons with other forms of antagonistic dispute are discussed.
