This collective volume is dedicated to the empirical exploration of how metaphors influence human behavior and understanding. The four sections of the book respectively deal with: metaphor and pragmatics; clinical uses of metaphor; metaphor and politics; and other applications of metaphor. The different chapters try to merge Aristotelian and Platonic questions.
