This contribution consists of a representational mix of European and North American social psychological research on groups, the development of social identity, intergroup relations and the making sense of social life. It also draws on psycho-analysis, social theory, discourse analysis and feminist writing to discuss topics such as racism, social influence, group dynamics, the workplace and masculine identities.
