A linguistic, philosophical, psychological and cultural-historical exploration of environmental discourse, analyzing how both 'conservationists' and 'conservatives' advocate their positions in the environmental debate. The linguistic realizations of the notions of time and space are discussed, as well as the relationship between the natural world on the one hand and political and economic institutions on the other.
