Annotation

This volume deals with syntactic, semantic and computational aspects of scope, drawing on Minimalist syntax, Generalized Quantify theory, Discourse Representation Theory, and algebraic semantics. It is argued that (1) scope derives from a set of distinct Logical Form processes and (2) scope interaction is constrained by the semantics of the interacting operators.
