A general inquiry into the problem of analysing deficient child language, conceived from an explicitly pragmatic point of view. There are sections and possibilities on the role of pragmatics for the analysis of deficient child language, on methodological matters, and on the analysis of communicative goals and their realization, the social organization of conversation, taking into account the hearer position, and learning behavior in deficient child language.
