Annotation

The authors approach dialogue from the perspective which regards language as an interactional activity, taking interlocution as constitutive of linguistic phenomena, and speech acts as their minimal units. They propose the hypothesis that dialogue constitutes a textual unit, uninterrupted from the point of view of cohesion, and examine the role played by argumentative operators, involving concepts such as topic and comment, argumentative orientation, and verbal exchange strategies.
