Annotation

Analysis of argumentation in situations of face-to-face interaction under different conditions of turn-taking. H. first presents a general theoretical model characterizing face-to-face interactive argumentation as a collective problem solving or answer seeking activity within a general framework of information processing. This model is then applied to three empirical studies in different situations: a formal television debate, a semi-formal television interview and an informal conversational discussion.
