Analysis in the field of lexical semantics. It is argued that linguistic expressions can be perceived as cues to set up or identify mental domains (spaces), elements within these spaces, as well as the relations holding between these elements. Lexical meanings then can be regarded as dynamic mental entities, relativized with respect to a given knowledge frame, assumed cognitive perspective, and the actual context.
