Theoretical-methodological analysis of observation. It is argued that the methods of systematic observation should incorporate social meaning; that social meaning plays an important role in everyday observation and should be analysed in a systematic wayin direct observation; and that the integration of social meaning in scientific observation is not only a question of theory of science but orderly comparisons for specific situations should also be made.
