Methodological exposition concerning international communication. V. aims to show how a pragmatic perspective can be made to interact with specific research questions in such way as to provide a descriptive methodology for coping with issues of international news reporting and, by extension, intercultural and international communication in general. A sample analysis is provided concerning a 1956 New York Times editorial assessing the state of the Soviet economy.
