A synopsis of some of the issues presented in P. Watzlawick, J. H. Beavin, Don D. Jackson 1967 (Pragmatics of human communication: A study of interactional patterns, pathologies, and paradoxes.). More specifically, the issues touched upon are the notion of communication as a reciprocal, interpersonal relation, the all-pervasiveness of communicative behavior, the social component of communication, and the structure of communicative events as a series of overlapping stimulus-response-reinforcement traids.
