Annotation

C. attempts to characterize some of the knowledge that one has to have about a word in order to use it appropriately, and argues that in considering such knowledge from a developmental point of view, one has to begin by finding out what it is that the child knows about the meaning of a word, and how this knowledge changes during the language acquisition process.
