Annotation

G. examines two spoken narratives by 11-year-old girls, one black and one white, for characteristics of style. The goal is to identify psycholinguistically relevant structures characteristic to spoken narratives in general and aspects of narrative construction that vary across social groups. Educational implications of the findings are also discussed.
