On anaphoric processes on the sentence level and the discourse level in Kalenjin (a Nilotic language). Concerning the discourse level, the utility of Prague School notions like theme/rheme and predictable/unpredictable information is shown, and one type of discourse, conversation, is considered with respect to its organization, in terms of conversational roles, discourse topics, adjacency pairs, etc..
