Annotation

Whilst analyzing and comparing three Japanese nominal 'tautological' constructions in discourse, it is argued that their meanings can be best described in terms of conventionality and pragmatic calculability, as their distinct core meanings can only be adequately analyzed via irregular compositional semantics, and their possible additional meanings are only pragmatically inferable.
