Annotation

This longitudinal study of the effectiveness of nonnative English speakers -students at an American university- in interpreting AE implicatures, confirms that unguided learning in this area is rather slow, thus arguing the necessity of systematic development of NNS skills necessary to the use of implicature in English in the English second/foreign language classroom.
