Annotation
D. reviews some approaches to indirect speech acts (especially D. Gordon, G. Lakoff 1971: 'Conversational postulates') and points out their inadequacies. She proposes that some structure is needed which combines the structure of an illocutionary act with a structure expressing emotional attitudes of the speaker toward the act, in order to explain indirect speech acts. The proposal is not further elaborated.
