Annotation

From within a compromising perspective which admits the existence of perceptually isochronous and non-isochronous sequences in English conversation, C.-K. creates her own theory of speech rhythm, suggesting a two-phase method of auditive and acoustic analysis for identifying isochrony, regarded as a phenomenon with temporal and non-durational characteristics, whilst taking into account its function in every interaction.
