Annotation
L. proposes a new theory of conditionals, explaining for the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic facts of conditional sentences. To motivate his semantics, he draws on evidence from the syntax; he exploits the notions of event, relevance and epistemic history; he rejects modus ponens as a valid inference rule; he defends a truth value instead of a probability account; he discusses the meaning of 'even if'; he defines the relationship between indicative and subjunctive conditionals and he presents his solution to the 'Riverboat Puzzle'.
