Annotation

This contribution to the analysis of news language focuses on the production of news, on the audience for news, and on news as "story". B. applies the concept of embedding, accompanied by various degrees of de- and recontexualization, to news production and audience and analyzes how reporters use oral and written information and their sources to construct the text of a news story, proposing a tree-structure for the typical news text.
