Annotation

This volume which examines how imagination functions in making rational action possible, states that imagination creates fiction in order to rejoin reality at a deeper level of the real. The essays are thematically divided into the following three sections: For a hermeneutical phenomenology; From the hermeneutics of texts to the hermeneutics of action; and Ideology, Utopia and Politics. Section I provides a justification of hermeneutics within and against phenomenology; section II elaborates the way in which imagination creates fiction to rejoin reality; and section III explores what is achieved at the individual level to questions of political and social construction.
