L. takes the relationship among language, reality and world view as its starting point and insists on studying language as dynamic, heterogeneous and social in use, focusing on the centrality of conflicting ideologies in the study of language. The major topics are the following: grammatical classification, grammatical categories and world view; analysis of the discourse of literary texts; analysis of metaphor; and language and gender.
