The corpus of this book consists of onomastic items classified by subject matter. The chapters thus concern: anthroponyms; toponyms; acronyms, initialisms, and abbreviations; commercial names, with attention to eponyms; and other varieties such as invented languages, scientific nomenclature, euphemisms etc.
